As soon as we arrived in Bradford, we were greeted with the mixture of amazing buildings, castles with a gush of fresh natural wind. The weather was just perfect slightly towards the overcast side, but not as intense enough to cause torrential downpours. It has amazing countryside along with sites that have been recognized by the UNESCO. All the monuments and the things to see in the city provides a glimpse into the history of the English, so, if you are a history buff and love to understand the culture of others, then this place is definitely worth a visit for you. Let us have a look at some of the attractions present there:
The Five Rise Locks
This is one of a kind staircase lock. According to what the name says, there is a vessel that penetrates through the lock, and it is brought down towards the ground in five phases. Some of the gates, which are present in this lake, are one of the biggest in the country. Also, you can visit the café like we did which has some amazing menu and excellent ambiance.
The National Science Museum
For the tech geeks and the science lovers, this is the hotspot you must be in. Personally, I love these too and had a great time here looking at the progression of gadgets, technologies, video gaming, photography, animation industry and television over the years in the country and throughout the world even. There are more than 3 million pieces and artifacts in the museum.
The Roberts Park
We wanted to have some relaxation after going around the city, so we decided to head to the Roberts Park to catch some fresh air and boy, what a recreational center it is. The river Aire runs very close to the park and it has some amazing monuments and structures scattered throughout it.
