Chatham-Kent is popular for its rich history and sunny beaches. So, I thought this must the perfect destination to be explored during summer time. There are plenty of opportunities when you visit in summer. Try out new things to extend your perspective regarding this city. In case you are going to visit anytime, here is a list of things you can do.
Pick fresh blueberries
Parks Blueberries has been there for 36 years. This is an important attraction in the city. The view of the park is absolutely spectacular. If you are lucky to be visiting within July to mid-August, you will up for picking some of these sweet treats. I also spend some time sipping coffee at their café. There is also a bike shop in case you want to buy something.
Visit a theatre
Want to experience a theatrical show while you are in the city? catch one at Capital Theatre of Chatham. The events of the theatre have enthralled me greatly. Check out what is going on at this theatre and get some tickets. The grandeur of the theatre with entertaining shows will make your visit worthwhile.
Spend a day at the beach
To spend some time relaxing and enjoy the tranquility, visit Rondeau Provincial Park. The beach stretching for 11 kilometers, will give you the opportunity to go hiking and biking. This place is also great for birdwatchers. Windsurfers are going to love the beach. I believe this is an excellent example of South Ontario landscape.
Drop in at a museum
There are a few museums that you can check out. Black Mecca Museum and Chatham-Kent Black Historical Museum are two of the most popular ones. I took the guided tour to more about the region. If you want, you can take a stroll around to get to know things on your own.
